Biotech boss guilty of sexismThe boss of pharmaceutical firm Immuno Biotech has been found guilty of sexual discrimination after notes on the CV of a women he hired were discovered. David Noakes had written “red lipstick, heels – good” on Lucia Pagliarone’s CV, whom he hired as a PA. Other applicants were dismissed as ugly, fat or badly dressed. Ms Pagliarone also claimed Mr Noakes told her that a colleague would “like me, only be polite to you if you are good looking”. A tribunal awarded Ms Pagliarone £10,500.
