COURT OF PROTECTION – Prophet has capacity to gift tithes to church

A schizophrenic who believes he is a prophet with status and powers exceeded only by those of the Trinity has sufficient mental capacity to gift GBP7,000 to the Church of Seventh Day Adventists. So the Court of Protection ruled after a medical expert testified that P’s desire to pay church tithes did not depend on his delusions (Re P, 2014 EWHC B14 COP).
