  Parents demand pre-nup deals to protect gifts
Growing numbers of parents are forcing their children to take out pre-nuptial agreements amid fears of losing out financially if the marriage ends in divorce. Solicitors have reported a surge in young couples signing such arrangements, which are often prompted by parents wanting to protect the money they give their offspring to purchase their first homes. It comes as a result of rising house prices leading more young people to borrow from the “bank of mum and dad” to buy homes
