CONTENTIOUS PROBATE – Handwritten will full of holes is confirmed valid

The Scottish Court of Session has approved probate of a will whereby an elderly lady disinherited her husband in favour of her daughter by her first marriage. Margaret Watt had handwritten the will 20 years ago in pencil on a single sheet of A5 size paper with several holes that rendered indecipherable much of the text, including the date (Jollie v Lennie, [2014])
