CONTENTIOUS PROBATE – Nephew wins back aunt’s estate left to friend

Three wills in which a London woman in her nineties left her GBP300,000 estate to a friend have been ruled invalid on mental capacity grounds. The England and Wales High Court ruled that Julie Spalding’s only valid will was an earlier one leaving the estate to a nephew who had looked after her for many years.
