Other Neck Injuries:
Commonly confused with neck strains or whiplash, neck sprains are caused by damaging the muscle or tendons, where bands of tissue connect muscle to the bone. Neck sprains are caused by severe force, leading to tearing of the ligaments, the tissue that connects the bones to each other in the neck. Treatment for both neck strains, whiplash and neck sprains are typically the same.
