SFO investigates World Cup bidding
The SFO is reviewing allegations of money laundering during the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 Football World Cups. Director David Green told the culture, media and sport select committee that investigators were trying to establish if the money transfer was made via London, which would bring it into the jurisdiction of UK law.
